Routing rules

Override by country, device, OS or language

Add up to 25 rules per link. Rules are evaluated in priority order before platform destinations, and each one can combine several conditions.

  • Countries by ISO code, from one to all 250
  • Device types: mobile, tablet, desktop, TV, console, wearable
  • Operating systems including iPadOS, HarmonyOS, Fire OS and ChromeOS
  • Browser languages such as en, de or ja
  • Pause any rule without deleting it

Routing rules are included on Pro and Business.

Smart link questions

Does the redirect slow people down?
No. Forkly resolves the destination on the server and responds with a direct HTTP redirect, and link configuration is cached close to the redirect engine.
What happens when a link expires?
Expired links and links that reach their click limit stop routing to their destinations and show a clear message instead, so nobody lands on an outdated offer.
Can I edit a link after it is printed or shared?
Yes. The short URL never changes — only where it points. Edits apply to the next visitor.
Are bots counted as clicks?
Known crawlers and empty user agents are detected and excluded from your analytics, while still being redirected normally.
